Description

FULL DESCRIPTION
Heaven’s Door is a whiskey developed in collaboration with musician Bob Dylan. The bottle’s special design was dreamed up by Dylan’s Black Buffalo Ironworks studio, which works with found objects from all over America. Each bottle is decorated with ornamental iron gates made in his factory from materials such as kitchen utensils, chains and antique firearms. Not only do you get a bottle of fine whiskey, but a statement piece of fine craftsmanship.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Dark bronze.
Nose: Cedar, summer berries, cacao and toasted grains.
Taste: Festive spices, vanilla pod, buttered corn and rye warmth.
Finish: More authentic vanilla notes, paired with peanut brittle and nutmeg
Overall: Classic American Bourbon.

Gift

A rich, sweet and spicy bourbon from – as you’ve probably guessed from the name – Bob Dylan. The Heaven’s Door whiskey range is named after Dylan’s song, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.

RECOMMENDATIONS
If the person you’re buying for is a fan of the Bourbon, why not also consider Old Grandad?

Connoisseur

The Heaven’s Door range of whiskey have been created by Bob Dylan (yes, actual Bob Dylan, the legendary songwriter) and Marc Bushala (founder of Angel’s Envy Bourbon), made in a church in Tennessee. This expression is made with a mash bill featuring 30% “small grains”, and the spirit is allowed to age for at least 8 years in American oak barrels. The bottle features a design from Dylan’s own wrought ironwork, and the name is of course a reference to his song ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’.

DISTILLERY
Heaven’s Door.

INGREDIENTS
A unique mash bill from Tennessee this bourbon utilises 30% “small grains” to complement the character imparted after spending 7 years in American oak barrels. The result is smooth and lasting with notes of vanilla and baked bread layered of a bed of toasted oak.
