From as far back as 1779, the Nardini Distillery has been producing Grappa from the heart of the Veneto region of Italy. Continuing to hone their skills they have branched out and produced a bitter aperitif called Nardini Bitter. Using Orangem gentian root and Roman absinthe they have skilfully blended their recipe to create a liqueur with pleasantly bitter herbal notes.

Appearance: Bright Red.
Nose: Delicate citrus bouquet with light botanical notes.
Taste: Clean zesty citrus.
Finish: Dry and bitter finish.
Overall: Zesty, herbal Italian bitter.

Nardini Bitter is a refreshing change to the bitter aperitif category, yes, there’s more out there than just Campari. Fans of a bitter drink like a Negroni may enjoy mixing it up with Nardini for a change.

If the person you’re buying for is a fan of Nardini Bitter you could also try Rinquinquin or Nardini Grappa Bianca.

Nardini Distillery

In 1779 in Bassano del Grappa, the heart of the Veneto region of Italy. Bortolo Nardini distilled his grappa, and the story of the Nardini Distillery began. The foothills of the Veneto plain that surround Bassano assure the distillery a constant supply of grape pomace, the raw material for grappa production, collected in September and October after the grape harvest and pressing for wine took place. From the end of the 1700s to the early 1800s distillation occurred by utilizing traditional stills and the distillate was stored in copper vats.
