A spicy gin that focuses on the warming botanicals of Cassia and nutmeg. Blended with pure Icelandic water and bottled at 45.2%, the Westbourne Strength is designed to be used in classic cocktails that call for a bold gin.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Clear.
Nose: Warming orange and spices.
Taste: Bold juniper with a creamy body of cassia and nutmeg.
Finish: Firey notes of fresh cracked pepper.
Overall: A big juniper-forward gin. Emphasis on the spicier botanicals is supported by underlying citrus and subtle savory notes of coriander seed. A great gin to enjoy in a Gibson Martini.

Alcoholic spirits originally found their place as a “cure all’ in medieval Europe. Gin was the next step, incorporating the medical benefits held in plants. Various botanical elements were thought to have different health giving properties most notably in the case of gin, juniper. When mixed with spiritus alcohol a rudimentary medicine was formed and became popular all over the continent.

ABOUT THE DISTILLERY
Langley Distillery is a contract distillery that produces award-winning gins for external clients, as well a their own brands.

ABOUT THE LIQUID
Two separate distillates, one using the earthier botanicals, the other with the citrus botanicals, are skillfully blended together to give a heavily juniper forward liquid that emphasises spice. The liquid is then taken all the way to Iceland where it is blended with water and bottled.

Juniper, Coriander, Angelica, Lime Peel, Liquorice Root, Nutmeg, Cassia Bark and Florentine Iris.

Delivery Information

Shop delivery: We will always try our best to dispatch as soon as possible, please be advised that some items may take up to 5 working days.

Voucher delivery: As soon as we receive a voucher order they’re sent out via first class post. Depending on how busy Royal Mail is, you’ll usually receive your physical vouchers in 2-3 working days. If you’ve made your order on the weekend we will aim to send it out the following Monday. Bank holidays may affect this.
