FULL DESCRIPTION
As a Bottled-in-Bond, today’s Rittenhouse carries the distinct, spicy flavour that is long associated with the brand. Rittenhouse is the Rye Whisky of choice for mixologists and whiskey aficionados alike.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Dried fruits and soft spices. Cocoa and butterscotch, with orange, cinnamon and caramel.
Taste: Clean, rich, cocoa, citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
Finish: Tangy fruit and quite coppery. Marmalade and spice.
Overall: Thick, fruity palate with chocolate oranges, cassia bark, nutmeg and oak.

This historic whiskey was once the most popular style of whiskey in the Northeast, especially in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Heaven Hill Distillery continues to make rye whiskey in the same tradition. The distillation process is similar to Bourbon, but the mash must be 51% rye. The sweet, spicy taste and distinctive character of this style of whiskey consistently earns high praise from critics and connoisseurs alike.
