FULL DESCRIPTION
When it came to making a vodka brand, The 86 Company acknowledged that it would be releasing a product into an oversaturated market dominated by big brands with big marketing budgets. Deciding that the best course would be to make a tasty product and not take themselves too seriously. Aylesbury Duck Vodka is made from soft white winter wheat sourced directly from local farmers in the Western Rockies of Canada.

Inspired by conversations with the bartending community, in 2012 The 86 Company launched four different spirits under their brand. Working with some of the best distilleries and distillers from around the world, Aylesbury Duck Vodka, Cana Brava Rum, Fords Gin and Tequila Cabeza were born. All bottled in The 86 Company’s ergonomic bottle, designed by and for bartenders, with engaging labels packed with useful and honest information for complete brand transparency.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Clear.
Nose: Fresh and grainy notes of vanilla, cacao and white pepper.
Taste: Smooth and creamy with notes of liquorice and citrus oils.
Finish: Baked bread and white pepper.
Overall: Very characterful vodka.

Connoisseur

Fermentation of the mash lasts for a standard 3 days resulting in a 9.5 to 11% wash, the water used at this stage is canadian glacial water. This goes on to be continuously distilled in three separate copper plate column stills built in the 1940s. The 1st still brings the wash up to 65%, then into stills 2 & 3, where it is distilled up to 96.5%. The water used to bring the spirit down to bottling strength (40%) is from a well in Mendocino County, California. This water has a purity of 4 particles per million. Aylesbury Duck Vodka is only goes through particle filtration, not through carbon, as The 86 Company believe it tastes good enough after distillation.

ABOUT THE LIQUID
The distillers make their own mash and oversee the whole process from wheat harvest to final distillation, after which the spirit is shipped to The 86 Company’s bottling facility in California. Here, Domaine Charbay Distillers use very soft water from a well in Mendocino County to bring the spirit down to bottling strength.

Shop delivery: We will always try our best to dispatch as soon as possible, please be advised that some items may take up to 5 working days.

Voucher delivery: As soon as we receive a voucher order they’re sent out via first class post. Depending on how busy Royal Mail is, you’ll usually receive your physical vouchers in 2-3 working days.
