One of best experiences I’ve had in London. Such a great setting and opportunity to learn how to make different cocktails! Huge thanks to Sil for such a fun evening :)
I had an amazing time at the cocktail making class at Mixology in Covent Garden. Sildi, our instructor, was absolutely fantastic. He created such a fun and collaborative environment where everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. It wasn't just a class; it was a great night out, full of laughter as we learned to make really tasty cocktails and heard the backstory of how some of them were invented. I would highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable activity in London. Thank you, Sildi!

The night was great fun! Very interactive and learnt some amazing recipes! Aicha and Marcus were fab guides throughout - thank you! X

Each participant gets access to their own bar setup, fully stocked with all the key tools of the trade – think shakers, strainers, muddlers, bar spoons, Mexican elbows, and more. With ample equipment to go around, everyone gets plenty of time to mix, shake, and serve their own cocktails from scratch.

Aesthetically pleasing building & decor
Covent Garden is packed with great pubs, cafés, and restaurants to explore before or after your cocktail class. The venue is just a short walk from Covent Garden Tube, or you can hop off at Holborn – both are convenient if you’re coming from Liverpool Street or King’s Cross St Pancras.
The Chandos (£)
Just around the corner from Trafalgar Square, this classic Samuel Smith pub is a busy after-work spot during the week but mellows out at weekends. Head upstairs for a quieter vibe, where comfy sofas and bay windows make it a cosy place to sip a pint. Expect proper pub grub, arcade machines, and the occasional bit of theatre memorabilia.
Freud (££)
A hidden basement gem, Freud has been doing its thing since the ’80s. By day it’s a café, by night it transforms into a stripped-back cocktail bar with a rotating art gallery from local creatives. The drinks are punchy, the prices are fair, and it’s a great no-frills stop in central London.
The American Bar (£££)
One for the cocktail purists. The American Bar at The Savoy oozes 1920s glamour, with a live pianist most nights and a menu that mixes timeless classics with inventive twists. Perfect for a special occasion – just be sure to dress the part (smart casual is a must).
Homeslice (£)
For a laid-back bite, Homeslice serves up massive New York-style pizzas by the slice or whole. Ideal for sharing, with seasonal toppings and custom options – just check the chalkboard for the latest menu.
Temper (££)
Just around the corner from the Tube, Temper brings bold flavours and open-fire cooking to the heart of the West End. Expect steaks, tacos, and clever fusion dishes – from kimchi-topped skewers to jalapeño burrata. A great pick for foodies or flame-grilled meat lovers.
Cora Pearl (£££)
From the team behind Kitty Fisher’s, Cora Pearl blends refined British comfort food with elegant cocktails in a beautiful Covent Garden townhouse. The menu is rich and grown-up, but still accessible – especially with their weekday set menu. Ideal for dates or special occasions.
