Guests to our cocktail classes are welcomed with a light and refreshing spritz to whet their whistles and get the ball rolling. Our simple but delicious highball consists of Hennessy cognac, peach bitters and London Essence White Peach & Jasmine Soda served tall with plenty of ice and a slice of grapefruit.

Ingredients

25ml Hennessy VS Cognac

2 Dashes Peach Bitters

London Essence White Peach and Jasmine Soda

Pink Grapefruit Slice for Garnish

Method

Using your jigger to measure add your Hennessy to a highball glass

Add two dashes of peach bitters

Fill your highball glass with fresh cubed ice

Top with London Essence White Peach and Jasmine Soda

Stir

Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit ]

History

The Henny Highball was created by the team here at TT Liquor as a light and refreshing spritz showcasing the depth and complexity of this fine French cognac. Hennessy VS is one of the world’s most well known and popular cognacs but this traditional French spirit is often thought of as a warming wintry drink. Whilst cognac’s warming properties are certainly well-founded, this grape-based spirit has a wealth of fruity complexity that lends itself just as well to light, fresh cocktails as it does to stronger, more autumnal offerings.

The Henny Highball is a simple but effective mixture of Hennessy VS, peach bitters and peach and jasmine soda. The peach flavour pairs well with the subtle fruit notes of the cognac and highlights its light, floral flavour profile.
