One of the distilleries unpeated expressions, the Origin is full of golden caramels, spice and tart fruit notes. Due to the distilleries tall still shape, the spirit is on the lighter side which makes it a great introductory malt for a budding Scotch enthusiast.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Brilliant amber.
Nose: Lightly toasted cereal and heather.
Taste: Apples and spice with rich caramel fudge.
Finish: Hints of allspice that melt away into a honey-sweetness
Overall: A bright malt with layers of sweetness that are broken up by acidic green apples and warm spices.
Gift
An excellent malt to introduce people to the world of scotch, it’s light and sweet which makes it extremely accessible. Quite a unique Island malt, with almost no briny or peaty characteristics, if you’re a fan of Lowland malts you will definitely enjoy the Jura Origin.
RECOMMENDATIONS
If the person you’re buying for is a fan of the Jura Origin 10, you could also try Glenkinchie 12 or The Arran 14.

Scotch whisky is a very broad category consisting of various styles, regions and production methods. It is unclear whether Ireland or Scotland was the first to produce whisky but it is likely that the practice became common in both countries concurrently. ABOUT THE DISTILLERY
The Jura distillery is on the Island of Jura of the west coast of Scotland, providing it with a climate unique to the. The island is only 30 miles wide and has a population of 200. Originally built in 1820, it was rebuilt again in 1963.
