Returning to TT Liquor for a solo performance, the incredibly talented pianist and songwriter C.Tappin put something special together for his session in the TT Liquor Cellar Bar, giving the crowd stripped back versions of his songs accompanied by the amazing violinist, Clem. C.Tappin dealt with the keys, the vocals and triggered drum tracks over sections of the performance from his trusty Korg Volca Beats, while Clem laid beautiful string lines throughout, with Lucas, our soundman giving hints of reverb and delays.

The space was blanketed with sound and it was hard to believe it was all being created by only two people. Following their enthralling performance, TT Head of Music, Chris P Cuts played out the rest of the evening with an appropriately themed DJ set comprising low-key Hip Hop instrumentals and R&B.

C.Tappin’s new EP ‘Change’ sounded beautiful and showcased how with this EP he has progressed the writing and structure of his songs and how much he has grown as an artist since his last visit to TT. Check out ‘Change’ on streaming when you get a chance or listen out for it on the TT playlists.
