LMW: Kino Vino Mexican Mezcal Feast - A Culinary Road Trip

Thursday 18th July will see the return of film and dining experience specialists, Kino Vino, to our Shoreditch home just in time for our week-long mezcal extravaganza.
After a year filled with an eclectic mix of sell-out supper clubs, we’re joining forces once more for London Mezcal Week 2019 to put on a Mexican film, food, and cocktail extravaganza with agave spirit pairings.
The evening will kick off with a refreshing welcome drink, before a special pre-dinner screening of the Mexican coming-of-age road trip classic – Y Tu Mama Tambien – in our cinema room.
Following on from this, guests will dive head-first into a Mexican inspired four-course feast created by the wonderful Pao Carlini who will be acting as guest chef.
Each course will come with its very own bespoke cocktail pairings put together by our expert bar team, with each drink designed to perfectly compliment the variety of bold flavours on show.

Pre-Cinema Snacks:
Mexican corn on the cob, brushed w/ butter, red pepper powder, lemon zest & parmesan.
Aubergine skewers w/ tamarind and chilli glaze.
Starter:
Poblano pepper tamales w/ tomatillo sour cream.
Main:
Pork belly/jackfruit w/ mole negro, bananavo, rice & pickles.
Dessert:
Pastel tres leches w/ meringue & cinnamon.
At the feast’s conclusion, attendees are invited to stay on down in our Cellar Bar, where DJs will be spinning out the good vibes ’til late.

FORMAT:
Arrival – Attendees are encouraged to arrive through the doors of our liquor store for around 6pm, allowing them ample time to collect their welcome cocktail from our Cellar Bar and get stuck into some traditional Mexican street food style nibbles.
Screening – A short while later, guests will be led back up the stone steps and into our 52-seater cinema room. Once there, guests will be treated to a screening of the classic Mexican coming-of-age tale, ‘Y Tu Mama Tambien’.
Supper – At the film’s conclusion, attendees will be guided further up the building and into our West Wing banqueting space, where they will get stuck into a 3-course Mexican feast including bespoke mezcal cocktail pairings – designed to perfectly match the varied flavour profiles of the dishes.
Afters – Plates clear, appetites satisfied, and glasses emptied, attendees are invited to continue their evening down in our subterranean Cellar Bar. Reservations recommended, although not mandatory.

We have a variety of lounges dedicated to hosting private as well as public dining experiences at our permanent home on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, east London.
