Jiggers & Measures
A thimble measure or Jigger is a tool used to measure out the correct volume of liquid, they come in various different sizes.
Typically a bartender will use two jiggers, with each jigger offering up to four different amounts. Jiggers allow bartenders to be accurate with their pouring, meaning constantly tasty drinks, and also ensuring that stock is accurately used.
The bar manager will be pleased if no one is over-pouring, whilst the consumer knows they’re not getting under-poured. Win win.
